Role Overview:
We are hiring VFX Matte Paint Artists at Junior, Mid, and Senior levels to join our team. Candidates should have Minimum 1 year of experience, depending on the role. Responsibilities include creating detailed matte paintings that blend seamlessly with live-action footage and CG environments, following art direction, and ensuring visual consistency across shots. The role involves collaborating with art directors, analyzing shot requirements, and maintaining high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Create high-quality, detailed matte paintings for the VFX industry.
Collaborate with team leads, creative heads, and other artists to understand project requirements and deliver visually compelling results.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the project's artistic and technical requirements.
Design and paint environments, landscapes, and other elements to enhance the narrative and mood.
Work closely with the VFX team to ensure seamless integration of matte paintings with live-action and CG elements.
Meet project deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Required Skills
Strong artistic and digital painting skills with proficiency in tools such as Photoshop and Nuke.
Proven experience in matte painting, concept art, or related fields.
Solid understanding of lighting, perspective, color theory, and composition.
Ability to work collaboratively, take feedback constructively, and adapt quickly.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with industry-standard software and production workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, or a related field.
Strong portfolio demonstrating matte painting expertise.
Prior experience in the post-production industry.
Knowledge of 3D software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max) and compositing tools is a plus.
